I bet you thought polling outfits were run by people who knew how to do math. It appears in many cases you’d be wrong. I think this needs to be addressed in our education system. Institutions that you think are run by smart competent people are in fact largely run by incompetent charlatans who can barely function at all. Even the cynics among us I think tend to attribute super-villain status to the people running the show. Really though, they’re both malignant and dumb.
